Try empting your legbag on the ground in front of the car's radiator and
then leave a note to the car that you think they have something leaking from
the front of their car. Its even more funny to watch the expression on
their face, when they start dipping their fingers into the liquid to determine
if its anti-freeze or brake fluid.

I haven't been around for a while but had to respond to this. I lost my
temper on a woman last week for making me wait outside of my van for her to
walk back and move. She wasn't sorry and appeared to have no disability.
when I said she should apologize, she said she didn't feel bad. I hope I
embarrassed her. So I posted my deal on facebook and my friend gave me this
link _http://foxyurl.com/M6P_ (http://foxyurl.com/M6P) . There are things
you can print out and put on peoples cars. It's pretty humorous and to the
 point.

Subject: [QUAD-L] Parking in the lines

It seems to me that nearly every time I park out in a public lot like
WalMart, Mc Donald's, Costco, wherever; if I dare to use a spot marked with a
HC marker and a small hashed area next to it, someone parks half in the
next space and half on the hash marks. I now carry my camera and capture the
moment for.... posterity. The current rate for abusing these special HC
parking spots starts at $124 and goes up from there.

Some people drive thru red lights.... because they can... without fear.
It probably happens hundreds of times a day in the big cities. Its no
wonder that stupid people don't know how to park or don't care how they park
or
where to park. Some of those very people have H/C plates or Placards and
feel the need to park on the stripes, because they feel they have the right.
 Can't change stupid.

Eric,
Same thing happened to me.(got parked in at Creationfest 2009-over 100,000
people)
I guy tried to move my van, fell down, sped out of control, almost ran
over 100's of people into a brick wall but at last moment he grabbed my emc
brake and stopped my van. he snapped my brake control though)

i try to park every-which-way to avoid getting parked in. use to I even
let my lift down, until some asshole ran over my lift making it un usable.
the ass did a hit-&-run. i had to have a guy use a crowbar to bend my lift
back in shape.

i am on a mission to make sure there is proper accessible parking.

yes i sit up front & no i don't get locked in. i have straps to secure
the chair but don't use them, just use the seat belt. i've thought about
getting an e-z lock but haven't.

Hi Gang,

What kind of vans do you use. I have always used a full size vehicle and
I went to a united access location just to try out minivans during the
summer. It seemed like there was so little room with my Permobile. My new
chair has two wheels in front, which make the base a little longer. It was
such a tight fit I was told that I would have to remove the front chair. I
don't drive. Do any of you use the easy lock to secure your chair? are
there others that are better?

I'd like to know others experiences with both size and what vehicle models
you prefer in both sizes.
I will probably not be getting a brand-new, because of the cost. I'd also
like to know the durability and problems that you have experienced. Have
any of you purchased a vehicle and then had it modified.

I use pencils with rubber in my splints. I am not able to reach the
switches to control the functions at all and I have much difficulty reaching
the mode button. Do any of you have problems reaching the switches? I I
could use the switches and the mode button on my older model.

Recently I wrote about my wheelchair going dead. I found out from the
technician there is a connection under the arm that is a design flaw that is
not in my other chair that attaches and can easily become pulled out. I
was told it has to be connected with electrical tape or twist ties to prevent
this problem..
Thank you and I appreciate any ideas or suggestions any of you may be
able to offer with any of my questions.
Dana
