My first van was a camper van. My husband stripped the inside, sink, etc.  
Installed a lift.Had the raised roof. I was transferred to the front seat as 
 well. My kids were young teens at the time. They called it the whoopty 
mobile.  There was quite a difference from a 1 yr old  lincoln town car to 
that! But  so was walking & not walking.
