Skype! I love Skype. I use it almost exclusively
for my phone calls. For $8.40 every three months
I can make all the calls I want any day any time
in the US or Canada. The download is free. I use
the speakers that came with my computer and the
cheap microphone. Everyone I call tells me the
quality is great. Better than a speakerphone.
When I am on the computer and a phone number is
listed it is highlighted and if I click on it
Skype will ask me if I want to dial it. If I say
yes, it will dial that number for me. Since I
spend 10+ hours in front of my computer it is the
perfect setup for me. However, I haven't bought a
Skype phone number. I figure if someone wants to
call me they can do so on my regular phone. This
way I don't receive any unwanted calls on Skype.
The only downside with that is those that have
caller ID see a bunch of random numbers whenever
I call them. I often get the response -- why do I
see those weird numbers when you call? LOL.
