Not sure how you first found the list but on the main page for the list at http://www.makoa.org/quadlist.htm it does say "Do not post personal information that you don't want the world knowing. The message archive is searchable by anyone with Internet access."

I was also curious why this quad list used "eskimo?" Who owns it?
I do not put my name in my email address nor do I use my real name if I sign something. The content is real, the names are not. I would suggest for you to open a new yahoo account, and not include your name when they ask for it- or make up a name. I also think it is good to write to the list with some information without details, and then to the person to person (non list) if there are more details you don't want to share to the list, yet talk about to someone here who gets it.

I did not know that when we post stuff on the list that others beside quad list people can read them. Then on top of that my whole name plus my email is on there.I just happened to google my name and my emails i wrote to quad list are on there. i thought this was private site where we come and talk. i've been on this site 4 yrs i don't like that at all. i luv this site but i don't want everyone beside quad list reading my business either. is there something i can do?
