Using a pillow is a good idea, if ya had a flat joystick you could set a 
transfer board on your lap and set the joystick on top. Its amazing how 
creative a person can be when they want to do something. Ebay is cool because 
you can buy cheap stuff to adapt and figure out a method. Ifyou look on youtube 
and the net you can find quite a few quads that have made something to allow 
them to play games.

i took a regular wireless ps2 controller and put a clear vinyl tubing 3/4 inch 
diameter i think, about 5 inches long, then super glue them onto the knobs. 
that's it. put controller on a soft pillow in your lap and your set. i'm a 
c5/c6 quad with my hands in a closed position and just slide them over the 
handles. i kick everyones butt on driving games and ms. pac-man.
