While living in the Nursing Facility I had several male aids, most were nice guys. Then I moved out of the facility into my apt. & ended up having a male aid who was a year younger than myself. That was Ken, who looked like a biker dude, he wore black tee shirt, blue jeans cowboy boots, leather jacket & a pony tail.The first night he came to my apt. I thought he had the wrong apt. but that was the beginning of a good friendship & he was a very good aid & cared for me 7 yrs. until he had a heart attack. He was a perfectionist also, at the same time, I had an 80yr old little lady take care of me in the evenings, Ken did day shift. The two of them battled on which side of the sink the dish drainer belonged! Irene was 82 when she had to quit due to health problems. I have had some nice aids. What I would change in my life would have gone back to college. LindafÂ
