I am presently using a 14 year old Invacare Storm, but I have a new chair
that's been sitting in my living room for about a year now. It's almost
ready to go, but Permobile is still having difficulty making it work with
the Magitek.
It has been an exceptionally frustrating experience to say the least.
Yesterday I thought we had most of the bugs ironed out, but I was aware that
my ability to tilt back for pressure relief was severely compromised because
the software thinks I am barely moving the joystick when in fact my head is
completely cocked to the left or right.

The real problem started after everyone had left my house and I was giving
the chair a try for the entire day. For some reason the computer locked up
and I was unable to do anything but call my neighbor so he could reboot the
system. Later I discovered that in the wheelchair has a sleep mode which I
am unable to deactivate at this time. It's very disturbing, because he goes
into the sleep position when I don't touch any of the controls for about 30
minutes. Does anyone else have a chair that goes into the sleep mode?

I am completely paralyzed from the neck down and rely on the buttons on the
head rest to change modes and of course the magitek to operate the system.

I'll probably have to go to wheelchair junkie to get some advice. I may try
calling the vendor once again, but it took about two months for them to come
out this time.
