If that is when they scope your bladder My Uro wants me to have it done yearly. Not just to look for stones. He said last time there was a red area probably caused from the Cath, but he wanted to watch it carefully. Just be careful, if you sweat too bad or get a bad headache, call it off.
I've had the scope done about 6 times. If it's just looking for stones I think a basic x-ray can find them. G. _____ Hi all-- i'm sure I have had a long going UTI--well my Doc does not want to do any cultures unles i'm deathly sick----he say's all supra-pubic wearers always have 2 or more colonizations in the bladder from bad bacteria anyway. He wants to do a Cystoscopy ------- I don't know why because each of the past 2 years he went in looking for stones-and saw none. They want me to sign this form saying I am aware of risks of bleeding-infection-injury to bladder and uretha-anasthesia risks and other serious risks requiring further surguries.--- it also say's perform biopsies of bladder-remove clots and cauterize bleeding areas---------THIS ALL SCARES ME AND MY WIFE. We are wondering if we should change urologists once again----(-we left the 1st urologist because he mostly did surguries and did not like follow up treatment for infections and etc.) Do any of you have an opinion on this??
