Yes, when I first got injured they said the injury threw my body into shock and out of whack from the trauma and gave me insulin during the initial stages of injury---then later it cleared up and was normal for years, then about 3 or 4 years ago.. while being treated for a uti they told me I was diabetic and would need medicine, so from then on I have to take the pills for it twice a day.......I hope it never progresses to the shots.
