Yes, Steve...I read that 2009 report also--but now as of 2010 many say that
it's already changed......my mom and some of her elderly friends had heard
something about it on a talk or news program.........If you go to google and
type in ( is social security in a defecit as of 2010 ) you will find a bunch of
reports on it.   I had been trying to keep up with it for past few years but
only recently began reading about it all more. ( if you recall--congress told
us that-----the housing industry could'nt fail, it was too big--the banking and
auto companies could not either, they were to big/// well they were all wrong.
We bailed them out with billions in borrowed funds,,,,,,, and that was even
before Obama borrowed ANOTHER THREE TRILLION.   Dan*

Dan,

What is the source of this information? While Social Security funding is indeed
becoming precarious at best, your information conflicts with summary of the
2009 annual reports issued by the Social Security and Medicare Boards of
Trustees linked below:

Did you guy's all hear about Social Security going broke as of 2010/??  it is
now running in a defecit-----it was thought that it could last at least until
2013 or longer before the break even point,,, but went bust much sooner than
experts had thought. We better hope us and the government can tighten up and
get a grip on priorities are we will all be sunk.   ( during president
Clinton's time in office, some experts had thought it could last until 2032 )
man things sure have changed quick huh?     Dan H.
