No, I don't feel endangered be my nurse's or home aid's. The reason why I do not feel unsafe is because they will not go to work if they have a cold or flu. If they have a slight cold, they use a mask to put over their mouth. They also wear gloves at all times when performing a hands on situation with the patient. In fact, a home enviornment in nursing, and taking care of me, my doctor says it is better that I be at home than be in the hospital. I am sure that there are some situations which nurses, and aides do not belong taking care of patients, however, in my own personal situation, I am extremely cautious when letting someone into my home. Therefore, I have only a few nurses and aides that I will trust with my life that I know would never expose me to their own personal infections. The also applies to Doctors, Nurses and home aids. By Law, they don't have to disclose any health conditions or if they have or carry any infections while taking care of you. Has anyone else noticed this too? On a side note, organ donors and receivers More then 1/2 of our organ donations come from abroad. No, not women.... but rather from other countries.
