Hi- Bobbie, since I turned 50 about 3 years back, my problems with pain and etc. have continued to get worse, I take strong pain meds daily--I have severe pain in my left arm--aching,shooting and so on--( that I used to seldom have ) even bad pains in area's of my back, that used to have no feeling. I have had x-rays and mri's that show my syrinx has spread from c-6---down to T-2 or farther. They told me I can try different meds but they really don't know if any surgury can even help me. What can we do...just get by best as we can each day and try to enjoy life as best we can. Best Wishes, Dan H.***

Hi All, The cyst on my neck, syrinx, is getting worse - I can't drive out of town anymore. My arm falls asleep at night and the pain is bad. I take 500mgs of Gabapentin for the nerve pain and perkiest, Hydrocodone and soma for just good old pain. You know I was doing fine with the not walking thing, it's all this secondary crap that's the toughest. Bobbie
