1) tools--I have a remote to open my house door to my garage velcroed on my chair and a remote in a leather carry pouch on my chair that opens my garage. I love these it gives me freedom to go in and out of my home with ease..to drive around in my powerchair or go to the corner stores. ( also I keep velcro straps on my refridgerator door handle and other doors so I can hook my wrist in and open them easily ) 2) Travel - I use my wife/also caregiver to travel--so at least one person or caregiver is best to have with you. ( always take everything EXTRA along that could be neeed in an emergency such as all medications, catheter change products, suppositorries etc. Cell phone. Transfer boards etc. ) 3) Yes --quads can find love and companionship (many have ) It may be harder but stay friendly and outgoing, some people, like to be helpful and caregivers..many times these people are involved in nursing or rehab type of work. I was lucky and had been married about 17 years when I got paralyzed and my wife stayed with me and is my caregiver. 4) Some jobs are, computer work, phone sales or soliciting. Counciling. Also may get work as a vacation planner or Assistant that sets up vacations or business meeting and so on. Others--on list may have more job idea's.
