Hydrating one's body is most important. Water is a good source. But what
happens if one's body is not absorbing the water? That will dehydrates a
body just as quickly. Its wise to stock a couple of quart bottles of
electrolyte for those times when you need to get some extra supplements in
your
body quickly. The kind you drink, not IVs.

I woke up Fri morning feeling fine, but once I got up I was real dizzy. I
mean so dizzy I could not sit up for more than 30 seconds. I think all day
my records was 5 minutes without having to recline. I went to bed a bit
early hoping I'd feel better in the morning. Sat morning I sit up and bam
things start to go black. I finely cal 911. I get Iv's, blood tests, UTI test.
So far it looks like it was dehydration. I do not understand how it hit me
in the morning. I drank lots on Fri hoping it might help with being so
dizzy. I could sit up to about 70 degrees, anything after that my eyes would
start to got black. My heart rate was so slow it worried the Aide car guys
(though I can't recall it). My BP was down in the 70's even hitting the 60s.
Most of the time they got no reading. I'm home now, hoping that was all it
was. The ER doc wanted me to spend a 24 hour watch, but I thought I was
always ok laying down. What good is laying there 24 hours, get up and see how
you feel. I'm hoping that's all it was. I just don't know how. I've spent
hours out in the heat with no problem. Now I'm freezing from the AC in the
ER, Now I've got to go sit out in the 110 sun to get warm
