Congrats  Glen !   Well said, one day or 5 minutes at a time and enjoy the good
things and good times-- Many times it is easy to feel down or want to complain
or be angry because of the pain and our situation, I'm slowly learning to try
to
make the best of it.... times when we get ill with stones--pressure sores-bowel
accidents and so on, make me thankful for the stretches when things go
well....like that old saying that is so true (things can always be worse ).

Subject: [QUAD-L] 44 years and counting

Each year I think that most of us have our eyes on something and that something
is today.  Please join me in the celebration of 44 years post SCI.

I've had a good life, doors have been opened that otherwise would never have
been, I've missed out on some things but have gained others.

Tomorrow may be different, each day is, but for today I feel good, no pressing
problems and I thank the Lord for letting me survive yet another year.

I now put my eyes on July 10, 2011, 365 days or 366 if it's a leap year, and it
will take it one day at a time and some days five minutes at a time, but I'll
take it anyway it comes.

My goal for this year is to expand my personal mentoring to other handicapped
people, and complete some of the things that God put me on this earth to
accomplish.

God did put me on this earth to do a certain number of things, right now I am
so
far behind that I will never die!

Have a good one,

Glenn
