Lori--when in bed that long do you use a regular bed mattress or an alternating
air type? My circulation is getting worse so my DME is looking into getting me
an alternating air mattress, my insurance makes me pay 20% out of pocket so I
guess this will be added to the $2,700 dollars i'm paying payments on for my
out
of pocket money on my new wheelchair that I had to get a few months ago.  Hope
ya get completely healed !  Dan H.*

Subject: [QUAD-L] Regarding... In Bed Again

I have been in bed 24/7 for the last 3 months and one week (yup, you start
counting the days and weeks) and my wound has closed.

But it is super super vulnerable so I'll be sitting up in bed for X-number of
weeks before I graduate to getting back in the chair as well as getting the
proper seating (wheelchair cushion and perhaps a new power chair after 11
years).
