I am amazed by the fact that you guys use the 2000 cc bag during the day. I
hide my bag in my leg rest bag my daughter made for me, cut a hole in the
crotch area and down under my left leg to the bag which Velcros to my seat
cushion so that it does not show at all.

But, I use a regular leg bag as I do not have that much output. I have not
seen a physiatrist since my days in rehab in 1990 except for a couple of
visits four years ago as we do not have any in the Reno area that work with
an SCI. So I'm really going on what I've learned in 1990, but they told me
to keep my intake between 2500 and 3000 cc daily and my output between 1500
and 2000 CC. So while I drink during the day I have learned to drink just a
little bit at each time to remain hydrated but to try and balance intake and
output. I very seldom have more than 900 CC's overnight, unless I have
drunk too many margaritas the night before J, and 700 to 900 CC's during the
day.

Although I know the risk of developing kidney stones can be affected by the
amount of liquid that one drinks, I also worry about flushing too many good
things out of my system by drinking too much. Any thoughts on this?

By the way, I haven't had a UTI that required antibiotics in the last four
years. And over the almost 20 years I have only had three serious UTIs and
they were all concurrent with other complications that I had. It's a darn
good thing for me, because Reno is uniquely not equipped with many doctors
that deal with SCI.
