If the information and presentation are worthwhile, I'll be sure to ask
her how we can pass it along to others (e.g. DVD, youtube, audio, podcast,
etc.) I won't leave you all hanging.

I've been a quad for 28 years, this week. I'm lucky enough that I have no
trouble getting physiogenic erections, and even have orgasms. I know that
some others with SCI have difficulties in these areas, so I'd be thrilled
if this turns out to be information that can help others with SCI.

Don.

Subject: Re: [QUAD-L] On sexuality... Mental Orgasms

Sounds very interesting. It really does. I hope that someone takes or
makes the time to do a livecast or Webnet Presentation so that others
worldwide can gain some credible knowledge. Webnet Presentation can be done
live
on the internet with pass code and audio via an 800 number. This is quite
common these days in modern corporate America so that people don't have to
travel to have meetings.
Good Luck
Best Wishes

I co-facilitate a monthly men's disability "support group." This month we
have a guest speaker who has received her Phd in studying mental orgasms.
She insists this works with those who have spinal cord injuries. I will
let you all know what she has to say. Below is her description of her
presentation:

Mental Orgasms
Dr. Chelsie Reed, PhD, LPC

Orgasms have been used as a medical aid to relieve physical pain, fatigue,
stress, emotional discomfort, and much more to sooth the body and mind.
Having orgasms over time also help decrease risks of cancers, increase
immune functioning and provide a plethora of health benefits. Mental orgasms,
a purposeful orgasm by thought alone, are another type of orgasm which can
provide the same physical and emotional response without the need for
physical stimulation. Also, mental orgasms are unique in having been shown to
"jump" the spinal cut to allow men and women with spinal cord injuries to
have full erections and orgasms - yes, a full physical orgasm produced by
thought alone!

I look forward to seeing you next Thursday,
Chelsie
