Well, I've never been much into sports but about her being depressed I think
there's a lot she can do about it,
starting with focusing on the things she can do vs. the things she can't, I
think it's extremely important to be in
a positive environment, stay away from negative people or others that may be
depressed. Is she doing therapy?
Before my injury I really liked going to the gym, now I do my therapy which I
see as that, like going to the gym
except for more challenging. I know there are some sports that quads can do,
like I said, I was never much into
sports so I've never looked into it but I know there is quad rugby, skiing for
quads and other stuff.

I hope she gets over her depression soon, I know it's probably tougher at that
age but it's not impossible.
She needs to find something that she likes and that she is able to do, keeping
herself busy will help her with
her depression.

Good luck!

Subject: [QUAD-L] need advice for a new quad

Hello again,

After 44 years, I've just about seeing an experienced it all. Our
pastor asked me to meet with a young lady who is 22 years old, quad for three
years and depressed.

She was heavy into sports, now does not see a future. In my opinion
her options are limitless, you only are limited by what you think you can't
do.

Any suggestions for someone that was a sports nut?

Thanks,

Glenn Henry
