Every once in a while, the people at Google get creative and put some sort
of animation on their start page.

Unfortunately this seems to tie up all my CPU resources so that my computer
becomes unresponsive. (I have Windows task manager start automatically with
Windows, and the indicator in the tray indicates the CPU is 100% busy).

Any idea how I can fix this? I've set up a shortcut so that I can begin
Mozilla Firefox by going to a different site, but I would prefer being able
to run Google searches without being subjected to this animation.

Any ideas? Thank you so much,
