Since a majority of the people on the list receive Medicaid (or the
equivalent of Medicaid in those states that do not CALL IT Medicaid) ... I am
wondering how you are able to get dental work done or extensive dental work
done since, to my knowledge, Medicaid does not pay for dentistry? Because it
is SO expensive these days.
Hi Lori,
Funny you should bring this up. I'm currently having some old fillings
done. I need a new cap in front that I have had since I was 16.Yesterday I had
5 front bottom teeth filled. Medicaid paid for porcelain fillings because
it's the smile line (as they call it). The dentist is confident my new cap
will be approved as it's an excisting cap. For molar crowns Medicaid won't
cover. There is a credit card that I used 5 yrs ago for a bridge, $1,900.
It's for dental work and veterinarians. High % rate but if all you can do is
make small payments or any payment, most on Medicaid have no choice. I'm
sorry I can't recall the company but any dentist can help. I did have my
bridge done by Allcare. Perhaps AZ has this branch of dentistry. I highly
recommend not going there. I have a slanted bridge in front and to correct it
will take gum surgery. I should be done by the end of Jan. I'll let you know
if I get my cap approved.
But yes, they do pay for fillings & extractions.. I called about 10
dentists before I found one that takes Medicaid. Sorry so long.
Dianna<----- does have a sore mouth today :-(
