That explains why cars and trucks have bumpers... to protect the paint
job...and your toes. Unfortunately, wheelchairs don't have bumpers on the
front.... or back to protect you and your toes. When you are out and about,
consider a Velcro belt down by your lower ankles.
Hope you are a fast healer, be careful.
Best Wishes

I hurt a few toes today... unfortunately they were mine.
I was wearing slippers because of a sore on my heal from my shoe. My foot
slipped out while out walking my dog. My toes were dragging on the ground
for a bit and I did not know it. Luckily I heard a strange dragging sound. I
tipped my chair back and raised my seat up. After I got home we had to cut
my sock off. The tips of my toes were bleeding and 1 nail was ripped up
some. My foot has slipped out before, but after all these years my foot has
never dragged on the ground or hit a tire. Moving the calf pad must have
made a difference. I moved it because when moving my leg rest all the way back
when reclining, it sometimes squashed my shoe by the heal. That left a
sore on my heal a few times.
Oh well, it's always something.
