I would be very happy to help set up a Facebook fan page or something.

However, I believe that we should use tools such as Facebook (and Linked-in
and websites and blogs and stuff) to encourage people to join this forum and
to actively participate in this forum.

I personally looked for an active community of quadriplegics for over a year
before I found this forum. I think you old-timers have good thing going, and
I would like to do everything I can to promote this, and to get the word out
to quadriplegics and their care givers.

It seems to me that the vast overwhelming majority of websites which deal
with spinal cord injuries deal with both paraplegics and quadriplegics. Yet
the needs and goals of these two communities are entirely different.

As a practical matter, it may make sense to establish a 501(c)(3)
organization which can implement ongoing programs to publicize this forum
and to direct people to it.

If I can be of any assistance, please let me know.

I just did a search and couldn't find a Quad-List page on Facebook.

Has there been any discussion about creating such a page on FB or a Twitter
page? If so, I apologize for missing that discussion [or if a page already
exists.]

Social media is the way everything is going. The email Quad-List is great,
and I hope it keeps going, but, let's face it, it's a dinosaur. Even e-mail
is considered old hat these days. How quickly things change!

I'd be happy to help start [or moderate] a Quad-List Facebook page, if Jim
Lubin wants to do that and needs any volunteers.
