I am using a Plantronics M1100 without any problems at all connected to my PC with a USB Bluetooth adapter. I also have a Plantronics USB microphone that works okay but not as good as the heM1100
That's really weird that you have static... I wonder if it's not your microphone one and something else causing it. Have you tried contacting Plantronics support?
