I had my upper and lower Gis yesterday. A Endoscopy and Colonoscopy, Like an
alien probe from both ends. Luckily they did not find anything wrong, but I
still need to find out why I am a few pints of blood too low. Average
hemoglobin in an adult male my age is 12-15 or 14-17 depending on what chart I
looked up. Mine was at 8. So they thought there might be a leak in me some
where in my digestive track. I did luck out in the "Clean Out" part. Often they
have you drink a gallon+ of GoLightly. But I told them I just can't do it. So
the other option is a 10oz bottle of Magnesium Citrate. Now why they ever go
the other way I don't know. Maybe it's not as good, but it worked fine for me.
Lots less going in, lottsssss less coming out. It did take longer to finish,
but I think it usually does in quads. One reason I wanted to do it overnight at
the hospital. One issue was this was the 1st time the nurses said they can't do
digital stimulation, too invasive. Yet they can give enemas. I would think a
tube is more invasive than a digit. Another issue was the nurses were slow. I
know they are busy, but wow they were slow. Never used that hospital before and
hope not to again. Now off to find out why I'm low…
