Hi, What's a "Port" What is it used for? Sounds like an IV Port... but why do you need it every month? I was just in the hospital and it took 4 people before someone was able to get one in me. My arms are all bruised up. After 2 had no luck they brought in a specialist. They used this hand held thing that had like infrared light that made my veins glow. They still could not find one that would work. So they brought in her boss. She brought in a bigger ultrasound machine. Finely found a a deep vein. I also have a port & love it, > my nurse only has to access the port once a month & has no problem > drawing blood since I use to be a terrible stick, no more!
