I have had to complain many times about the care I received and in every hospital I've been in. Many hospitals don't know how to do bowel routines for digitals. I guess they are used to elderly patients that don't speak up for the care they need. You could also try to get your doctor to talk to the rehab doctor so he can make sure they know how to do the digitals. My mom had to show them. My last hospital stay, the nurses were the best that I have ever had. I was in a progressive unit also. It's pretty sad that kind of care you sometimes get. Our aides are not paid for taking care of us in the hospital, unfortunately.
