Hi everybody,

For 26 or so of my nearly 32 years of quadrum I used to use SENOKOT as a
laxative the morning before my evening suppository. If I *did not*** take
that particular brand (like using a generic brand) that morning... I simply
would not go that night. Suppository or not.

Well, as things change over time it did not really seem to make any
difference whether I was taking a morning laxative or not. So I stopped
doing so several years ago. HOWEVER, also in my past, it was *only *the
brand name SENOKOT that would work for me. I found this out when I began
ordering my drugs through a large company which offered much much much lower
prices. What I did not know at that time (this was 1997) was that they were
sending me a generic form of SENOKOT. It took me about a week to figure
out why I was not going. Then it finally dawned on me. I then sent someone
to a local pharmacy to get me the brand name SENOKOT and, voilĂ , I
immediately had a bowel movement that night (using SENOKOT) after not going
for about a week or longer. Despite the INGREDIENTS being the same as the
generic. But, obviously, *something *was different between the two laxatives
from my experience.

I have since noticed that SENOKOT is no longer a company. The laxative
"Senna" is now the latest or replacement for SENOKOT.

Anyway, my bowel regimen (using the Magic Bullet suppositories that I have
been using since 1989) has not been very effective and I thought perhaps I
would try using the latest laxative that I still have in my arsenal of
things like that. To see if things would start moving things along better,
etc.

I started this about a week ago. The night before last my urine turned
orange. And it has stayed that way. I did a search this morning on
"significance of orange colored urine." Besides some antibiotics and certain
foods... the laxative Senna was also listed on several sites as causing
orange or dark orange colored urine.

I know that many of you do use Senna and I was wondering if anyone has had
the same experience (Senna and orange colored urine). THAT has been the *
only* *thing* that I have done differently over the last week.

*IF* this has happened to anyone of you, does the urine STAY orange or did
your urine eventually go back to regular straw colored urine?

 Thanks in advance!

 Lori
