Years ago when I flew across country, I rented a van in California. I
went with a buddy who is also is a quadriplegic. I called ahead and
rented the van from a regular car rental place. I also rented a pair
of motorcycle ramps. When we showed up they said we'd have to pay a
little bit more for insurance but it wasn't much. We did have two
assistants with us.
Maybe things have changed since then but at the time we had no
problems. For tiedowns we used bungee cords! Talk about crazy. Oh the memories.

My current problem is trying to find insurance cover for my rental van when
I come to the US.
Anyone here able to suggest any companies.
I'm assuming that you can't just sign up for some from the rental company
when you pick the van up ?
