The possibility of ruining the chances of a cure has crossed my mind. But, have recently learned that following a spinal cord injury, all the axons below the level of injury are dead and gone within a few months. If a cure came along, the spinal cord would have to regenerate not only through the injury site, but all the way to the bottom, something I just don't see happening. If my injury was acute I wouldn't consider it, but chronic...
