I'd experienced the same problem, unfortunately laxatives are necessary to
evacuate bowels for me.
What kind of laxatives do you take? Some years ago after a surgery I had
such horrible pain I was given pain pills to use during my bowel routine. It
causes peristalsis (sp) . I use senna routinely. When I have bowel
blockages I use Miralax, milk of magnesia and a cup a prune juice like I was
given
in the hospital for a bowel blockage.
Doing this has keep me from going to the hospital quite a number of times.

Hi everyone, hope all is well. For a while now I have been experiencing
pain in my lower ab, not sure
if it's my intestines, bladder, I don't know but I'm guessing it's my
intestines, it feels like a burning
sensation and I get it in the mornings. I associate it with the laxatives
since the pain is a lot stronger
on the morning following the evening that I took the laxative, ( I do my
bowel program every other day).
At times a bm follows the really strong pain, without even using a
suppository, that actually happened
today and apparently I completely emptied. I have tried different
laxatives but I still get pain. Has any
of you had problems with your laxatives? What kind do you all take? I'm
wondering if I should see a
doctor about this, I feel like my issue is getting worse.

I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks everyone!
