If an environmental control system allows one to turn electronic things on and off there has to be a way to do this for a security system. Every state has an Assistive Technology program that may have suggestions or you could try AbleDat at _http://www.abledata.com/abledata.cfm?CFID=28102246&CFTOKEN=6f2c86d8b86b73d7 -53AA4E40-DA8C-B6C7-98289D1460F83F8D&jsessionid=043034fb9f73021749a0211f5b2d 43711212_ (http://www.abledata.com/abledata.cfm?CFID=28102246&CFTOKEN=6f2c86d8b86b73d7-53AA4E40-DA8C-B6C7-98289D1460F83F8D&jsessionid=043034fb9f73021749 a0211f5b2d43711212) The only other thing I can think of is, if the system is activated by a keypad is attach it to a bed.rail. If standard keypads are too small, there might be larger products for the visually impaired, and Radio Shack might have something that could be easily adapted. Happy hunting!
