I had a shortened seaon of doing taxes this year. I go into the hospital
to treat osteomyolitis on my right pelvic region Thursday. Its all closed but
it did slough away to the bone last fall. I thought i only had to heal it
up. I had hopes for an epidural but the doctor refused. He doesn't belive
quads can lay face down for several hours without breathing complications.
He's right, I have copd since the last time I had surgery and used an
epidural. A blood clot hit my lung. I had always thought that was fatal, but
in
surgery it isn't. It was lights out. I hate waking up intibated.
I thought I'd wish everyone a happy Easter and Passover. I'll be gone
about a month.
I do read the list every chance and I feel like I know many of you. I
should be able to write more in May. I'll try to remember the hospital humor.
Ohyeah, i'm sure this has been said, but I might have missed it, Never
overpack a wound. Use moistened fluffed gause and keep pounding down protein.
And dead tissue must come out, cut it out, use maggots, or my preferense,
santyl. Then keep pressure off and it should heal up nicely.

God bless y'all,
john
