Too bad it did not include a picture of the final vest.  The actual cost of
the vest was $76.00.  Doesn't sound like anything I would want but it was

Here is a link to a research project. This engineering team attempted to
develop a vest to help quadriplegics maintain a healthy body temperature.

 

I scanned this quickly... and if I read this correctly, they built the vest
with about $500 worth of parts.

The device is designed to be powered by the wheelchair battery. Has anyone
seen anything like this, which is commercially available?  Does anybody have
the resources or connections to build one of these? Is there enough interest
in pursuing the sort of technology that we could somehow help move this sort
of project forward?
