[QUAD-L] Honey for bed sores?

Hi All,
      A friend of my Mom's, who is a retired nurse, told her to tell me that I 
should put honey on my wound for it to heal. First of all the wound is super 
fiscal.
  Anybody ever hear of this remedy?
