I had a Hill-Rom for a couple of weeks about five years ago. The "mattress" contained fine sand that circulated inside when it was inflated. When you turned the fan off, the mattress was hard as a rock. If you were lying in it and the electric went off, a hasty transfer was required. And that was the hardest part -- transferring. The mattress lay in a big heavy box with a frame that was almost impossible to climb over. It was a bit like climbing out of a casket. I had it for several days, then asked them to take it back. I just could not handle it.
