Don, the very same thing happened to me. After 35 years of leg bags, condom caths, and dependable voiding, I suddenly slowed to a dribble and began to acquire one devastating uti after another. I nearly died. Believe it or not, it took a couple of months to figure things out. The solution was intermittent cath twice (or three) times a day and ditropan to calm any bladder spasms and cold sweats. You MUST use a new catheter each time along with gloves. I have had maybe two uti's and they were very mild. I leak a bit sometimes when my bladder is full. I wear an adult diaper for that problem. It works for me.
