While the original plan was to go to my son in law's family, a little pack
rat decided to chew through the wires of my van, and then to top it off my
wheelchair electronics decided to not work. :-)
So, everyone's coming here for dinner. Luckily I don't need to cook it all.
Standing rib roast and slipper tail lobster, fingerling potatoes, barbecued
asparagus, spinach and artichoke dip, and tiramisu cake for dessert. Our
families have grown so large that we no longer try to get everyone together
on the same day. The last time we did we had 47 people, but it was
summertime and all the kiddos could play outside. So we end up having three
thanksgivings usually. We have to have our own Turkey for our immediate
family because thanksgiving isn't thanksgiving without Turkey sandwiches,
and then I usually go to my oldest son and wife for their party with her
family which is about 25 people, but this year it won't happen, so we will
have our Turkey next weekend. Haven't tried roast and lobster for
thanksgiving before, but when we lived in Germany and England we didn't have
thanksgiving Turkey even though we tried to celebrate the American holidays,
so it won't be all that different if I can only remember how it was-happy
thanksgiving to everyone and hope that you have lots of friends and family
around.

Hi All,
I was wondering what everybody is doing for Thanksgiving? I'm in bed,
but believe I'll be able to be up at least for Thanksgiving ....... But I
know I'll be all pooped out from being in bed.
My brother in-law always comes down, from 1 hour west, and the 3 of us go
out to eat to either a dinner or Chinese. "A Christmas Story"
((((HUGS)))). Bobbie
