Yes, we are going in uncharted territory. In July will be 46 years post
SCI I will be 62 years old,
but feel like I am younger. There are days when I feel older, but I am
lucky enough not to have the pain issue.

When I was discharged from the hospital my father was told to take me home,
buy me a television and wait for me to die. That was the mind set in
1968.

I have been active in the electronics field for 35 years and even though I
am retired I continue to volunteer for the historical society, active in
church and just generally doing something. The worst thing that we can do is
sit around watch television and let our brains go mushy. Do something!

Wow! As I write this e-mail I'm looking out the picture window at the
Susquehanna River. I am blessed to be watching a mature bald eagle circle
over the river at this very moment.

One blessing that happens to me when I was in the hospital, I had an
alcohol block. This killed my spinal column, taking away the pain and spasms.

I don't believe they do that procedure today, but I feel that my life was
easier not having to deal with those two issues.

I'm going to step outside and watch my eagle, talk to you all later.
