I, personally, will NEVER EVER go through a colonoscopy, mama gram, pap
smear or any other type of "disease hunting" procedure. I have no
desire to live a long life as a quad. I've already put in close to 40
Quad years, I'm 57 now. My pain is out-of-control even though I take
morphine … all my meds are pain meds. My scoliosis is only going to get
worse and the arthritis in my neck too. I've never had so many
different sores on my butt in different places … I have a sorry,
skinny, flat ass.
Dose anybody else not want to go through "disease hunting" procedures?
Bobbie

If there was a way to get a complete removal then I could see it but I
have had friends who wasted their time because they were not clean
enough and were sent home. If it isn't squeaky clean they can't do the
procedure. I just can't go through it

I know the prep is shitty for all of us, pun intended, but at least I
know I don't have colon cancer...

The prep is too difficult.

I've had a colonoscopy and am due for another this year. The prep is a
bitch, but I'd rather know what's going on... Do you have other
problems that prevent you from having a colonoscopy?

Meredith,
In my experience when I am getting blocked up I get a liquefied stool
without any hard stool. It's different than diarrhea.
I don't know why you can't take a colonoscopy. It's difficult for
quadriplegics, but it can definitely be done. The protocol here is
really intensive and requires hospitalization.

Just wondering, what tests are taken to see if one is blocked up? I'm
not really able to do a colonoscopy according to the Doc I spoke to.

See ur Md. you need to see if ur blocked. Also, ask your Dr. About
Amitiza. Pill form up to 4,8 or 24 mcg. I take monstrous amounts of
opiates and the pills along with fiber keep me regular.
You will need to experiment with dosages to find the right balance for
you.

The last 2 weeks I've had such stomach pains. I've been pooping rocks
and nothing has helped. I've tried Miralax, softeners, etc. I don't
want to use too much, that hurts just as much. I keep using it more
often, but I've never had to drink Miralax more than 2 times in a week.
Then I can go months without it. I'm on my like 6th dose in 2 weeks. I
want to double over in pain. G
