wrote to Blueant about the new Q3, and this is what I got back. I thought
perhaps some of you might be interested in letting them know how much of a
market there actually is. I thought it was very interesting.

My first e-mail to them

In one area on your website it states

(VOICECONTROL Simply press the Command button on the Q3 and then speak a
command. You can even ask the Q3 "What Can I Say?" to get a list of
available commands.)

Under features it states

(VoiceControl. Voice Dial. Voice Answer
The Q3's comprehensive command set allows you to pair, configure, control
your device, as well as make and receive calls. All using your voice. When
the phone rings, responding is as simple as saying the words "Answer" or
"Ignore". To make a call you simply say "Phone Commands" and the Q3 will
activate your phone's voice dialing feature.*)

Which one is it? I am a C4 quadriplegic, and have used your BlueAnt for
years and would be very excited to find out that it is truly button free. At
present time I am using a modified BlueAnt-no button hands-free-and would
definitely want the new Q3. I am totally unable to press any buttons, so I
am looking forward to your response. Thank you Joan Anglin

Their answer

Dear Joan,

Thank you for contacting BlueAnt wireless and thank you for being a
continued customer.

Our apologies for the conflicting information, but the Q3 does require you
to hit a button to active any out-going voice functions. Incoming calls
would not require a touch of the MFB, but outgoing calls or the 'what can I
say menu' etc. would.

If you are interested in something completely hands-free you can try the
Commute speakerphone - this activates using only your voice.
Customer Query

My reply

Thank you for your explanation. Your Commute speakerphone does not appear to
be a answer for my cell phone needs as I do not have a Google or Siri
interface on my cell phone. Hopefully someday there will be an answer for
myself and others who are totally unable to push a button to have a private
conversation just as the majority of people can. Joan

Dear Joan,

We are working on this issue and I do also hope we can soon have a headset
that does not require a push of a button. While the Commute does not allow
for private conversations - it does work with phones that do not have Siri
or Google Voice actions. You can make and receive calls simply by using your
voice as long as your phone supports Bluetooth and bluetooth voice dialing
(most phones do).
