We use 1/4 cup of distilled white vinegar to a gallon of distilled water, to
flush with. We started cleaning the bag with bleach & distilled water.

The Foley should be back flushed and irrigated, as the kidney is sending this
to the bladder, or the walls of the bladder lining is braking down. Actually,
it doesn't matter the cause, the Foley should be back flushed and irrigated,
with sterile waters. a tad bit of vinegar might help. The person's URO
should also be made aware of this and make medical recommendations and orders.
Perhaps the French should be enlarged.

Hi All,

I have a friend with an indwelling Foley that blocks with long
stringy mucus. No infection.

Any ideas?
