Greg, 15 minutes is a long time when having severe AD.....I had to wait about 30 minutes yesterday......it was truly an emergency! Had CT scan this morning, I'd bet my life I have a bladder stone! I only made it a week and a half between cath changes this time! Ready to get it resolved!!

Once when I was intermittent cathing. I was only a few years post injury and happened to be at the hospital visiting my former nurses. I was in the cafeteria and started sweating. I thought I'd last until we got home, but within minutes my head was going to explode. We rushed to the Rehab floor, but they had no caths there. They have a "Cath Team" that rotates around cathing people on a schedule. Or you have to page them. So I had to wait another 15 minutes for someone to show up. At that time I never leaked. I was clamped tight. I went like 5 years and never leaked. Not until they were taking stones out and got one stuck in my urethra. It actually broke through the urethra wall before they got it out. After that I had to use condom caths. Until my SP. Now I try to always have a cath kit in my van. Once from gas while doing my B-program. It lasted so long and so bad, I had to call 911 while still going... Embarrassing.. It was vary am-bare-assing at the time. I think twice from a hip injury. It took like a week to find the cause. Ended up in the ER again. Greg > I'm tellin' you, I really was thinking I was going to stroke out! I > would get severe AD in the first year and the it just has alwaysI been > mild.
