Congrats Billy! You have done both good and well in raising your daughter
and the grandchildren. Thanks to computers, and cell phones you will
always be in contact with them and watch them grow.

I'm sure you have a Federally Funded, Center For Independent Living in or
near your community to guide you in your search for information, as it may
vary from state to state. What State and County do you reside?

Best Wishes

Guys,

My wife and I are finally empty nesters with my daughter moving south with
her husband and three of my grandchildren 7,2 and 6 mos. We're going to
miss them terribly. I have been Connor's male influence for 5 of his seven
years, and my heart is breaking to see him go.

Anyway, I am 64 and My wife my primary caregiver for 23 years is 65. She
can't physically take care of me anymore. (Transfers mainly).

How do we go about getting an aide in home? Who pays, and what is the
going rate? I have nurses in the morning who do ADL, BP and cath care. That's
done in about an hour every day. The need is needed when I go back down in
the evening or during the day, if necessary.

Thanks for any advice you can offer.
