Hi, I feel about the same. Mine is next month. It hits me hard at times, the
memories are hard to take but yet I am grateful to. I admire every ones
courage and positive outlook in this group, it is not easy to have at times, I
know.
Best,
Shirley Bell

  Subject: [QUAD-L] Another anniversary

I haven't been on here much lately, but I have seen several people commenting
about their SCI injury date. Well, today, April 5, is my SCI injury
"anniversary." I used to dread this day, but now it really doesn't matter
anymore.

I choose to celebrate the good things in my life and therefore I usually go
out to dinner and celebrate August 6, the first day I was able to breathe on my
own without the aid of the ventilator. It's been 18 years now and while I am
grayer, a little older looking (actually I look quite a bit older), I still
look fondly on that day as if it was yesterday.

I'll try to be on here more, but I can't make guarantees.
  Take care everyone,
  Quadius
