tom, I signed up for a family plan at sprint. I get 4 phones with a shared 800 peak time .Unlimited off peak starting at 7pm. 500 text messages....no internet. With tax its 25 dollars a person. I use a very basic touch phone with a slider keyboard. I attached a lanyard to it so I can put it around my neck or wrap around my seatbelt and shove phone between legs. It has worked great for me for 5 years.
