I've been experiencing a tremendous about of pain in my bladder for the
last eight weeks and my Dr.'s suspicions were confirmed on Tuesday: I have
many bladder stones. I had a nurse read the results of the scan today and
not only are there a lot of stones in the bladder, but there are more
stones in my kidneys.

When I was talking to my primary doctor about three weeks ago he indicated
that having a urostomy could possibly increase the likelihood of getting
stones. Unfortunately this wasn't something that I came across in looking
up the information and talking to other people.

I'm not sure how they're going to remove the stones since I have a
urostomy, but I'm hoping it's less invasive than it was seven years ago
when I had the surgical cystoscopy (there's another name for it) in which
they used a laser to blast all the stones in my bladder. All I had to have
was a spinal block and I was able to go home later that afternoon. It hurt
like hell and bled for about a week, but it took care of my bladder stones
for seven years. Now I'm concerned about the increase in kidney stones.

I've had one stone in my left kidney for the better part of eight or nine
years without too much problem, but now they're indicating there are more
stones developing. I guess I'm going to have to start using the Apple cider
vinegar once again. In fact I used it today, but I don't really know if
this is going to be effective in trying to prevent stones.

Well, at least I got you guys to tell about it.
Take care,
quadius
PS sitting here with a this bladder pain is a real pain. It's discouraging,
but I am hopeful I'll build a get back to normal relatively quickly.
