You are correct Don. Cane Sugar is my point. Natural sugars in fruits
are ok. Just like salt has evaded most of our foods today. By not adding
sugar or salt, one is covering a very large amount.

I'm not a doctor or dietician, so take this advice with a grain
of,.......um,....sugar.

Sugars are carbohydrates and the body's first source of fuel. It's
impossible to cut out all sugars because many occur naturally in fruits and
vegetables. I'll assume you're talking about added sugars, such as cane sugar
and
corn syrup, because that's where we all start to get into trouble. As you
know, soda pop is probably the biggest culprit, but corn sweetener is added
to almost everything these days.

Before you cut all sugars out of your diet you may want to study up on
simple sugars vs complex sugars (carbs.) Simply put, the complex carbs are
much better for you because they release their energy over a greater time
period and your blood sugar doesn't spike. Things like whole grains, nuts and
veggies have complex carbs.

Your brain requires a huge amount of energy to function properly,
consuming approximately 20% of your energy burned in one day. It is a glucose
loving machine, so don't cut out all carbs.

Finally, not all sugars are bad for your bladder and/or sores. The sugar
D. Mannose is not digested by the body and is removed via urine. This is the
sugar that makes cranberry juice effective against UTIs. The D.Mannose
sugar molecules pass through the urinary tract like little velcro footballs;
bad bacteria latch on and are carried out in the urine.D Mannose can be
purchased online or at some vitamin stores and can be added to foods.

Consult your doctor or dietician before doing anything drastic in your
dietary intake.

Happy eating!
Don.

Sugars, feed bacteria. Infections feed on sugars. (sugars are empty
calories too)

Wheel, I'm a bit on the dumb side, but what is the significance of
removing all sugars? I need a lesson!

If you must stay in bed, hope you can eliminate all sugars and increase
your protein with powder supplements. Hope your stay is a short one.

I'm testing Dragon for the first time. This is my first email, while
laying in bed. I got a new sore on my butt and the doctor said I have to stay
off it for a few weeks. I've had other sores, but this is the first time I've
had to stay in bed.
I looked at Dragon before and there was a way to have it list a number
next to each link on a webpage, then all you had to say was that number and it
would click that link. I can get this one to do a MouseGrid, but I can't
figure out how to get it to list a number next to each link. I have version
12, does it do that anymore.?
Thanks, Greg
