I agree. As doctor, before you do anything. Get approval first!

They weaned me down many years ago, but I also take a multitude of other
muscle relaxers.

Talk to your doctor about reducing the medication 10 mg for a few weeks
and see how it goes. That way if it doesn't work out, you can always just
bump it up to the normal dose.

Todd,

Like you I'm lucky enough to say that I don't need pain meds [yet] after
being a quad for 30 years. I pray it stays that way. For those of you in
severe pain, I am sorry to hear of your suffering and hope you find relief.

You stated that you've also gotten off muscle relaxers. I'm going to guess
you took Baclofen. I've wanted to get off Baclofen for years, but wanted
to know your experience.

I DO know that no one should ever quit Baclofen 'cold turkey,' and without
proper medical supervision. I'm just curious how you went about it and
what dosage you were at?, for how long? and what you went through after you
quit.

I take oral Baclofen 20mg twice a day [so a total of 40mg/deay.] I want to
 take 0mg per day.

Thanks in advance,
Don.

Subject: [QUAD-L] Pain medication

I am probably asking this question more out of ignorance than anything
else, but I am wondering why so many of you take these strong medications. I
am C6 +20 years and luckily have not experienced any pain and stopped
muscle relaxers in the 90's. What is causing your pain?
