If I don't feel my chair is right for my leg and feet, and I ask for
another wheelchair seating to fix the problem. The company doesn't seem to
understand the problems I face because my left leg was broken and the ball
joint
disintegrated. It causes my leg go in a upside down V positioning and
causing further food drop on my lap side where my femur was broken. I think I
need something specially made. Does anybody have an idea of how to get that
done.

Hi All,
Well, I tried out my new Quantum Edge. Actually the bace is a motion
concept and the rest is a Quantum Edge because of the power headrest. The
power
headrest works off the joy stick, there is a setting to raise up the
headrest and also to bring it as close to my head as I want or need it. It's
sweet.
The chair is a dream, I just LOVE it ... It fits perfect. I didn't take it
home or sign for it because the arm rests didn't have the "waterfall"
padding on the outside that I requested. Also, the shoe holders for the foot
plates didn't come in yet. So, my supplier is going to deliver it to my home
with the 2 issues fixed. He also needs to adjust the foot plates so the
weight of my thighs are properly disturbed equally over my thighs and feet.
And I might have him do a little more tweaking with the speeds and responses
... It just seems too jerky.
I absolutely love, love the center wheel drive. I'm going back to
Kessler's wheelchair clinic August 22nd as a "follow-up" to see if everything
is
OK, something they do with everybody. I asked the PT why she was handling the
wheelchair clinic and not an OT and she said "... when I was going to
school, I just kept getting drawn more and more toward the clients seating
then
PT, because you all spend your lives in your chairs and I wanted to make a
difference. So I kept signing up for specialized seating and got
certified." She's a sweetheart and is extremely through. The seating is all
she dose
for many years now.
